UPDATES to the printed map

I'll use this page to publish additional updates that are significant. At least you will know about changes in advance. These updates are one's that I've found out about after the map was published.

In October 2010 the following name changes will apply -
1. Rodeway Inn International will change to Rosen Inn
2. Quality Inn Plaza will change to Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando
3. Comfort Inn on Palm Parkway will change to Clarion Inn

July 2010 -
Hotels:
1. Holiday Inn International G2 now International Palms Resort
2. Amerisuites H1 now Hyatt Place Universal
3. Studio Plus G4 now gone completely
4. Extended Stay and also Extended Stay Deluxe added next to Hawthorn Suites in G4
5. Travelodge (near Four Points Studio City) has changed its name to Blue Palm
6. Hilton Orlando Convention Center G4 has been moved slightly south into H4
7. Days Inn Convention Center G4 is now Days Inn SeaWorld & Convention Center
8. HoJo & Red Roof Inn G4 (please note, these are two separate hotels). The HoJo is now called Clarion Inn & Suites. Red Roof stays the same.
9. Ramada Plaza B8 is now called Ramada Gateway
10. Treehouse Villas have been added to the Disney Resort of Saratoga Springs - these are separate accommodation units but within the grounds of Saratoga.
11. I've re-arranged the locations of two hotels in F8 - Magic Castle Inn has been moved slightly west, and FantasyWorld has been moved slightly north and also has the addition of a new minor attraction called Fantasy Surf (due to open in October)
12. Amerisuites (name in H3) is now Hyatt Place Convention Center
13. Embassy Suites F7 has now been deleted
14. South Beach Luxury Suites G9 has finally gone (anything BUT luxury)
15. Maple Leaf Inn G9 has also closed, the Parkside Inn is still there but has changed its name to Record Parkside Inn.
16. Continental Inn G9 is now Continental Motel
17. Goldstar Inn & Suites G9 should have been located between Sevilla Inn and Budget Host Inn.
18. HoJo Express Parkway H10 is now HoJo Tropical Palms
19. RIU Orlando E/F6 has now closed
20. Avista Resort F5 has now closed
21. CoCo Key Water Resort and Hotel (former Legacy Grand) added on I-Drive

Shopping:
1. A new Publix store has been added at Lake Cay Commons H4
2. The 24hr Gooding's at the Crossroad's Center F6 has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, so has been deleted.

Restaurants:
1. two new restaurants added A8 - Longhorn Steakhouse and also Olive Garden
2. Panda Express and a KFC added in J8
3. Friday's Front Row now closed
4. Shiraz Grill added near SeaWorld

Others:
1. Best Friends Pet Care Resort is a new Disney Luxury Pet Care Centre, added in D6
2. changed name of Court House in K10 to Osceola County Courthouse
3. The black box note in P8 for Boggy Creek Airboats has been deleted: they only have the one location now at South Park (already shown in F10)
4. Grand Cypress Equestrian Center D4 has now closed.
5. Hospital names added

Villa Areas:
1. Barefoot'n Resort has been added in E9
2. Kissimmee Pines added in H10
3. The Hamlets added in H9
4. Magic Landings added to Villa Location Map

March 2010 - A few name changes (as usual for Orlando). Best Western Movieland Hotel (grid ref G2) is now Monumental MovieLand. Crowne Plaza Resort (G5) is now Monumental Orlando. I've added Lake Eve Resort in grid square G5 next to Fountains. Quality Inn Maingate West (A8) is now Continental Plaza. Quality Suites and Suites at Old Town (E8) are now Celebration Suites. America's Best Value Inn and Suites Hawaiian (A8) is now Vacation Lodge MainGate.

Jan 2010 - The brand new 4th edition is now available and in stock

Another warning about mobile speed cameras - the local police are using these more frequently now . . keep your speed down. Especially if using the Sherberth Road short-cut from 192.

The digital map database has been changed accordingly.
